Guild Raid teams are expensive to build, so choosing the right investments matters. This guide identifies the strongest Meta and Alternate teams for every Guild Raid boss using large-scale replay analysis rather than opinion alone.

Methodology & Results

How the Analysis Works

Rather than relying on opinion or isolated showcase videos, these recommendations are built from a large dataset of Guild Raid replay videos collected from experienced creators across multiple raid seasons.

Each replay is reviewed and cataloged with:

The objective is not simply to identify the single highest damage replay, but to determine which complete teams consistently perform best in today's Guild Raid environment.

Step 1: Measuring Replay Quality

Every replay receives a quality score based primarily on damage dealt. Performance is adjusted for raid difficulty, giving additional credit to successful clears at higher Legendary and Mythic tiers.

Step 2: Weighting the Current Meta

Guild Raid strategies evolve over time. More recent replays receive greater influence through a gradual recency weighting, while older successful strategies continue contributing to the overall analysis.

Step 3: Identifying the Best Teams

Replays are first grouped into broader team archetypes before identifying the strongest exact team within each archetype.

An exact team consists of:

The five heroes
The selected Machine of War

Machine of War is treated as part of the team itself because changing the Machine of War frequently changes both the strategy and overall performance.

Step 4: Community Confidence

Popularity still matters—but only as a confidence signal.

Teams that repeatedly appear across successful community replays receive a modest frequency bonus, while average performance remains the primary factor in determining the final rankings. This rewards strategies that consistently succeed without allowing replay volume alone to dominate the results.

A five-hero and one Machine of War team needs at least 2 qualifying replays to be considered for the final selection.

Step 5: Selecting the Final Recommendations

For each boss, the highest-ranked qualifying archetype becomes the META recommendation, while the strongest qualifying alternative archetype becomes the ALTERNATE recommendation.

Within each recommendation, a single exact team is selected consisting of five heroes and one Machine of War.

Minimum replay thresholds ensure recommendations are supported by multiple successful examples. If an alternate archetype lacks sufficient replay data, another well-supported team is selected instead.

This allows you to study positioning, deployment order, movement, and execution from successful runs using the exact lineup being recommended.

These recommendations represent hundreds of hours of replay collection, validation, and analysis. As new replay data becomes available, future updates automatically adapt to reflect the evolving Guild Raid meta.
